Welcome … to Happy Farm, an 11-acre organic farm in upper Bucks County, PA.
Originally part of a larger family farm, Happy Farm is the home of a growing multi-generational community of people who are seeking a healthy, sustainable, rural lifestyle.
The project began in early 2020, when Jean Armstrong Nick, whose family owned the land, and who grew up here, met How Carson, a retired web developer who lived and worked on an organic farm in his youth. They discovered that they shared an interest in organic farming and permaculture, and a vision for creating an intentional community. In the Spring of 2020, How moved into a trailer parked near Jean’s and her husband Tom’s home. The Annex, a 10×20′ wall tent built on a platform made from shipping pallets and plywood, serves as a community meeting space, where residents and visitors can gather for meals and socializing while maintaining safe social distancing.
